I had the same problem, same letter etc..

First of all, you need to contact the police to let them know your paypal account was hacked, then give paypal a call (or if you sound young, get a parent to do it ;)) and give them the crime number the police gave you, they will verify it etc and then you should be covered by your banks policy that they will refund every penny that you didn't spend (Although, it being paypal, maybe not).

Not really, police should be straight forward a few questions and then you have your number thing..

And PayPal might go on for hours, just tell them your in a rush to get back to work xD

Who cares? If it's gonna save him £500 then an hour out of your life is worth it...

I definetley recommend phoning up paypal immediatley.

They'll just tell him to ring the police, as they did me :P

Then when I rang back, Paypal where really helpful and all the funds where refunded to my account.

Well tbh, it sucks to be you right now.
But seriously, phone the police and get this sorted out ASAP.

Ring the police ASAP then get it sorted with PayPal. If you leave it too long they add "accruing charges" and then the amount goes up rapidly that you owe.

If you're under 18 though then you're probably gonner end up in trouble cos it's against their T & Cs so you won't be able to verify your ID or anything.

Yeah, do the above but i would get a parent/gaudian if your under 18 to stop you getting to maybe evan more problems. Good luck getting it sorted.

Because PayPal can't sue or take you to court, they have another company to do that.
And because im under 18, PayPal or the other company can't do any thing.

Exactly, you're not 18, so the agreements weren't valid.
