Is this old news or what?
Hobtech.net was removed after Callie left because of the rules.
Callie owned HobTech, when Callie left she passed it down to Floyd, that means if an owner leaves and hires someone to own it. They havent leagally made the site an Official Fansite. Which means, it has to become official with the new owner themseleves.
I never knew it got taken off the list from the UK Official fansites. Must be old news! LOL
Don't get mad at me for this :P Ignore it or read it your choice!

With in days of Callie leaving the hotel as staff. Hobtech was removed almost straight away from the UK official fansite list.
It is a official on some hotels still (That's why they display the seal still). I can't remember exackly but it's official on quite a few English speaking hotels.
Different hotels have different official fansites rules. The UKs are by far the strictist.

It was hosted by Impetutus (sp?) - managed by Floyd.
Redtiz and Floyd have been trying to get it offical for quite a while, no luck. They still Mention hobtech.net in there FAQ's.. but it's not offical. ;/

I think Impetuous.net was in partnership with Floyds Hobtech.net then Impetuous.net shutdown and gave all its content to another fansite, cant remember the reason and hobtech went down because noone visits it & its not in partnership with Habbo either because there arent Hobbas anymore.
SOMETHING like that.

shouldnt matter if its not on the fansite list.. its not a fansite really. its more of a tech site. hence the name :P

it was given to habboglobe and habbodemand or something i think
As i already said Floyd managed the site, hobtech.net was a subpage / hsoted under impetuous.net they just brought a domain for it.
It probaly still ahs the badge as its offical on most other hotels ( was added to all the new hotels by defualt) or they cba to remove it .

Why do they have the official status badge on there site then :S
they are official elsewhere, seeing as it's the only technical related website that offers the best technical help. :p

yeh, but there is only a little. Like keyloggers it says:
Hey, what a nice sunny week it's been, Anyhow, less of the weather and more of what YOU like to read about - WEB TECH HELP.
1). A weird Habbo added me on MSN messenger and sent me this file. *shrugs* I don't know what it was but I opened it and nothing happened, minutes later I logged into Habbo and it said my password was wrong. What just happened? I didn't tell anyone my password...
Sadly you've been the victim of a key-logger, they are very nasty things which track every key you press and can be passed by email or msn etc... To avoid getting a key-logger, DO NOT accept files over MSN/E-Mail.
As I was tech-fully wandering around this oooooh so beautiful hotel, I came across another poor Habbo's who claim to have been 'hacked.' When I asked them how they had been 'hacked' they told me that they had been sent an e-mail from a Habbo that claimed to be from a member of Habbo Hotel's Staff. "Open this program for a Staff Badge!" the e-mail said. But the program couldn't make Staff badges... But it could make furni and credits disapear...
So, here are some tips on what to do if you receive an e-mail asking you to download a program:- If you receive an e-mail that appears to be sent from a Habbo staff member - Look at it very carefully and ask yourself "Does this e-mail really look like something a Habbo Staff Member would send?" Remember:- Habbo Staff will NEVER ask for your password and will not send you attachments or programs to open.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT open any files attached to an e-mail. They could contain a harmful virus.
Random Handy Information
Did you know that you should change you're password at least every month, to make sure no one can guess it.
That's no tutorial?
