Yes they perfom services such as bank items for you and withdraw certain items the better the servent the higher the level needed

if you have 30 construction you can hire the cook
40 and you can hire a butler
50 and you can hire the demon butler

as you go down the list (or get a better servant) their fees increase. they will demand wages every so often, usually after a certain number of trips to the bank / sawmill

and if you dont pay them...they refuse to work :[

oh...the cook can make a GREAT pineapple pizza :D
