Yesterday my friend got his hair cut short to a number zero and he came in today got to about 4th period and then the head of year came in when he saw him he took him out of lesson and now hes getting suspended and put in isolation until it grows back to a number 2 ! How STUPID is that ? suspending someone because there hairs too short.
The teachers were pulling his hair and one said you look like a thug with your hair so short and hes giving a bad impression of the school but thats just being steriotypical and stupid dont you think.

Aparently the shorter hair will affect his learning ?? How ? Wouldnt longer hair be worse because my long hair always gets in my eyes and sometimes i can`t see but if it was a skin head i wouldn`t have that problem would I.

Well your school must be very strict and harsh, my friend has a zero right to the wood, and to this day my school aint said a word to him about it.

Its like the school already control what you wear, now there trying to control what you look like. Turning the school into a army of ideintical children.

Your school needs a serious review of itself. My friend came in with an England flag dyed in his hair and all he was told by the head teacher is that she would prefer it if it was an Ireland flag ( shes irish) but suspending him for getting his hair cut? Thats ridiculous

i thought schools only ban unnatural colors and stuff in the UK?

I never knew you could cut your hair too short.

We have that policy at my school number 2 and above, no coloured hair, guys must be clean shaven blah blah. We arent even allowed to do shave for a cure which is where you get sponsored to shave your head to support the Leukimia foundation.
But I suppose its a private catholic school {public over there I think?}so you gotta accept it. If its a state school then there should be any rules though.

the school really doesnt have say over your hair etc.
All they control is the uniform, if one, but they wouldt suspend someone, i doubt, if their uniform was wrong.
He hasnt done anything which should be agaisnt your school rules and its shocking O_o

Whoa are you serious? That's overreacting a little bit. People should be able to have their hair the way they want.

I'd get all my mates to get the same hair :P
If you got every boy in the year doing it you could make a point. Don't reckonanyone would mind you although it would be great!

All schools care about is their pride. My previous school when someone was found fighting, the first thing mentioned is the bad impression on our school not their safety

The school basiclly owns you from the neck down. Your hair makes you at school! No matter your hair, its not going to effect your learning nor anyone elses. Most schools do try to run schools like an army, and its not fair.

The most anoying thing today was people who were suporting red nose day by dying there hair red or wearing red all had to wash the dye out and remove any pieces of red clothing. And they said the school chooses what charitys we suport and comic relief isnt one of them ..
