The Top 10 Don't Hide Bullying Rooms
Click the Habbo names below to see screenshots of the top 10 winning rooms. Check back on Monday for the thoughts and comments of Stephanie; New Media Communication Manager for the NSPCC, who judged all your entries and chose the 22 winners below.
The standard of entries was so high that we ended up picking two extra winners, one of which provided the example room. Congratulations to you all - you win a NSPCC Badge and thanks to everyone who submitted an entry. A new competition will be starting soon, so keep checking back!
.v.i.c.a.r. (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/dot_v_i_c_a_r.png) - I think that my room would be the perfect anti bullying room because its a cool place to chill out in and it has all the information you need, such as the childline phone number!
ardl (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/ardl.png) - I made this room based around the emotions that bullying can make you feel - sadness and isolated. This is represended by the colour scheme and very little seating. It is important to be aware that bullying is not a nice experience, and I hope the layout and colours reflect this. I also wanted the room to offer support and advice for those in need, so I included the green stickys shaped as the NSPCC logo, these stickys have advice, information, and links to the childline website. I think this would be a good bullying room because not only does it give out the ChildLine number (written with mats) but it very informative in many areas.
Asimm (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/Asimm.png) - Well the purpose of this room is that everyone deserves to be happy whether they are different by skin colour or in other ways. There are lines of 3 coloured plasto crashing into eachother. The colour of those 3 plasto chairs are White, Dark brown and light brown. They are meant to give an idea of skin colour plus the idea of them crashing into eachother is trying to say that we all can mix in. Also there are 3 pictures made out of mats which are smily faces telling us that we should be happy. If we are not, then childline is what we need to use (as mentioned on room description). The colours of the room are calm and try to give you a happy mood when entering, not a sad mood.
FRISC0 (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/FRISC0.png) - I think my anti-bullying room sets a good example to stop bullying. The center piece of my room Has a huge STOP sign and the stickys read SAY IT ! Put them together and what do you get? SAY IT! STOP!
Putting the point across if your being bullied to get help, make it stop because it might not go away and could get worse. The exclamation mark in my room has info on how to get help online, how to avoid getting bullied and what to do if your being bullied. The trophys also include some websites where you can get help, including Childline & the number (0800 1111).
Kaios (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/Kaios.png) - Stop Bullying. FULL STOP. Support the NSPCC Anti-Bullying Campaign!
mivs (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/mivs.png) - This is a very informative room, the NSPCC numbers and childline numbers are on trophys and dogs. There are many seats for people to sit down and talk openly. I have put a lot of time in and people regularly come to my room and ask for help.
nun! (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/nun.png)- I love my room as it gets directly to the point i want to express "Beat Bullying". That is what we should do, beat bullying and maybe my room could help beat bullying as a child that is being bullied could see my room and decide to beat their bully. I used the NSPCC slogan Full stop to express how Bullying should be beaten completely. I also included the Childine telephone number so habbos dont have to look far to find help. People forget how bullying effects children, i was bullied myself, and i told someone and everything is fine now. So i want kids like me, to stop being bullied and to Beat Bullying like I did.
Redail (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/Redail.png) - Why Is This Room A Good Anti-Bullying Room?: I think this room would make a great anti-bullying room because its the sort of place people effected by bullying could go and get away from it all and just relax. The park is representing the peacefulness and quietness of the place and the ice cream van says that the simplest thing can bring someone happiness and make them feel a lot better. My room is the kind of room that says, 'Why Hate... When You Can Love?'.
Rivalry (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/rivalry.png) - The reason I think my room would make a good anti-bullying room is because of my idea. I used the mode furni to spell out 'STOP BULLYING' which is a big and clear message. Its short but sweet! Another reason is when the ChildLine Zen Garden may be full, you could head to my room instead! It has plenty of chairs for everyone to discuss bullying and other things. The room is also big, spacious and friendly looking - it cheers me up whenever I'm in it! I hope you like my idea for the anti-bullying competition.
Screwz (http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/Screwz.png) - I think this room would be a good anti-bullying room because, it shows how people can feel when they are being bullied! But it also shows what can happen if you call childline and let them give you advise on what to do if you are the victim. Your problems could soon be over! With that smile back on your face!
