This is probably the most pathetic news peice ever posted on a Habbo website.

Lost_Witness
Introduce Laura to your Mum!
There was a song a while ago with the lyric "Nobody loves you, like your mother loves you" very wise words if you ask me. (It's by Kennedy according to Lost_Witness).

This Sunday is Mother's Day, so once you've had your sides stitched back together from Red Nose Day and continued the fun for Saint Patricks Day, make sure you still have some time (and energy!) left for your one and only Mum this weekend.

Perhaps you could make her breakfast in bed, or design her own room on Habbo, or take her for a picnic in the Gardens - maybe treat her to lunch at the Sun Terrace (http://www.habbo.co.uk/client?forwardId=1&roomId=%3Ci%3Esun_terrace%3C/i%3E) if the weather is nice. Don't forget to introduce her to Laura if you do stop by; Laura loves Mother's Day and Mothers generally - especially her own!

If you haven't got a present for your mum yet, don't panic! We're here to help, as always. You could buy her a Habbo Gift - we have a lovely range of plants and cut flowers to choose from!
But perhaps the best way to make your Mother's day, why not submit a poem written for and about your mum?

This weekend you can send in poems about Mother's Day the best ones we receive will be published in the community news early next week - a gift that shows the world how special your mum is and something she'll be bound to be proud of! The poem stays in the community news for a full week as well, meaning it might outlive a bunch of flowers (and will definitely last longer than a box of chocs!)

Subject: Mothers Day Poem

It's on about getting your mother on habbo?! Buying her a gift on habbo?! And getting her to talk to some robot in the sun terrace?!

HAVE HABBO LOST THE PLOT?!

Please don't take this article advice, simply just flame below LOL. Stick to buying her a prezzie IRL.

It's not pathetic nor stupid. It's an advertising point and bringing attention to a poem competition. It doesn't tell you to get her on habbo... It's the way that they write it to appeal to the teenage audience. Like, it's not telling you to do those things, it's just pretend things which are relevant to the topic of Mother's Day, and it's on habbo. I haven't explained my point very well so just, bear with me. Lol.

The only mother who'll be doing it is one of them 14 year old ones who had a kid far to young.

I can't believe some of you think it's good! I'd like to see you on sunday go "Hi mum, can you make me some breakfast? After that I'll show your gift in the computer room, it cost me 3 credits :)"

That is another stereotypical, ageist comment.
Please think about what you say in the future.
Some people may be offended.
Lost_witness is an adult that uses Habbo. Does that make him a paedo? *Rhetorical question in case you couldn't work that out*

I don't think it's a bad idea at all.

It's just another way to try get Habbos to show their parents (well, mother) exactly what Habbo is and what they get up to while using it.

its not just that as Kotu said, if the children show their mum a peom they got on the website for their mum, it makes it all abit more personal, along with it shows that habbo can be safe after all.

I think your right in the real life context. However, I think the online intent for this article is aimed at Habbo's who've got mum's who adopted them online. I think everyone is familiar with Habbo's shouting "Will you bbe my mwummy??" - Obviously Habbo know that you can't physically buy Habbo furniture for your mums, thus swaying it to you 'online' Habbo mums. For real life, perhaps an e-card will be released. But also, it encourages online involvement and participation, which when down to it, is the site managers job, partly to increase member participation and encouraging creativity, which this does, through poetry room making etc.

Also, not forgetting that through this, Sulake are making a profit per sale of furni, so.. it has a ploy for promotion.
