Okies so right ive got to ask
WHATS THE BIG DEAL OVER RND?
i dont see why we need to have a whole day dedicated to a chairty that half the money goes to celebs because they appeared on the show
I dont mind there being one day but TWO?
we dont need children in need and red nose day
its pointless to have to. Its just a way to get money off people
and before anyone says
I do things for chairty right now im planning on doing a river trip from high force water fall to stockton in boats and going down the transporter bridge for Dasiy chain a autistic respite place
but ye anyone else got any thoughts on it?

None of the celebs get money, they're doing it for chairty? and it won't be the donations that get given to the celebs it will be like, ITV's money.

You Obv dont get it?
No money goes to Celbs. And the ponit of RND is to Help people in africa. Imagine if you lived in africa? Would you like it ? No. So please do not moan about it. Just think of the poor people who acterally need it unlike us. We are very lucky to have money What would you do if you had no money/Living on the streets? Go get some money from a Charity? Yes exactly.

Yeah, just like it costs Oxfam to buy and set up shops.
And costs the Red Cross to buy their Land Rovers.
Nothing in life is free, and that's why Charities need more money to help the people.
A whole day dedicated to a charity can raise as much money as a whole year spent without promotions.

Comic Relief/Red Nose Day is only once every two years and it's a just generally a fun day. It's one of the only days that brings the whole nation together and I support that.
It's only twice. It's a laugh and it helps a good cause, what's the harm?

One of the fundamental principles behind working at Comic Relief is the 'Golden Pound Principle' where every single donated pound is spent on charitable projects. All operating costs, such as staff salaries, are covered by corporate sponsors or interest which is earned while money raised is waiting to be spent (granted) to charitable projects.
Red Nose Day is the main way in which Comic Relief raises money. It is held in the spring every other year and is often treated as a semi-holiday, with, for example, schools having non-uniform days. The day culminates in a live telethon event on BBC1 starting in the evening and going through into the early hours of the morning, but other money-raising events take place. As the name suggests, the day involves the wearing of plastic/foam red noses which are available, in exchange for a donation, from many shops

As someone already said Terry Wogan get's a fairly nice pay cheque. The celebrities aren't all as virtuous as they appear to be, I wouldn't be surprised if most of them were being payed.
