What do you get if you do have a guam on you and you give it to him?

i always thought what ever herb u gave him, u got a pot(4) that was made from that herb?

you get something that you can make from the potion i think.
like you give him a guam, you get attack pot (4).
tarromin, str potion (4), etc.
