Ok, i sold a layout to a guy he payed and under the layout it had an "Layout made by [my habbo name]" then just today he opened the site and removed the copyright, is he allowed to do that? He thinks he is because he payed for the layout, but i still said add the copyright to it and he did then removed.

As long as he doesn't claim the work as his; he's very much entitled to do so.

Ill tell you, but he just said a normal fansite he told me the link and it looked like a normal fansite under construction page, i designed and coded he payed then he uploaded and told me the link again, and i found out it was a retro site. But the link is www.lavaworld.co.uk

So to sum up the legalities of the matter:

Unless you had him agree to some sort of license or something stating he was required to leave in the "made by" link then he can remove it and alter it in any fashion he likes. The only reason he would leave it on would be guilt.

Note To All Coders: That is why you always have a EULA when creating any major scripts that people download and use such as Radio DJ Panel. That way when they try and take the copyright off they are performing an illegal action in breach of the EULA and you can actually do something about it!

I contacted the thread starter :D I'll contact you in a min. Basically what I need is to get the name out about my company. You are the owner, the creator and I take no credit for your work. There won't be any "made by" or "owned by links". The site/game is all your's.
