Post yes/no. And a reason if you like.

I think yes.

Or atleast make it so its not a fixed price.

For example, Silver Nellie - 8 - 11hcs.

This then is a GUILD and note a fixed price. Habbos would also have more freedom in what they sell and buy there rares for.

How will scamming take place? Then its free will of people selling and buying at what they want, not what a website says. People cant blame anything for selling.buying at what they want

I don't really care, getting rid of RVR will destroy Habbox, a week later it will be like. omgz allhabbo says it's 6 hcs for a throne not 5hcs and a dino!!1!!11!11!

Hazza

It won't make more scamming.

ClubHabbo/AllHabbo

Both have 'GOOD' values, Habbox have ruined all the sucess they had by listening to some protest yesterday.

No.

This is probably the first big problem I can remember with the Rare Values in the time I've been using Habbox - 3 years. I've been staff for 2 years now and I think the Rare Values Department has been pretty consistent throughout that time. I think values are usually correct, even though you get some people on the hotel who think that RVs should be scrapped all year round.

I don't think they should be scrapped because of one problem. It's like saying we should close down the Habbox News section if we get a fact wrong, or that the Forum should close down if a moderator gives someone an infraction that is wrong.

Habbox has acted quickly and correctly to whats happened with the Samovar, and although it may have affected how our rare values are viewed for the next few days or so, I think it'll be back to normal within a week or so. What's happened isn't down to Habbox as a whole and Habbox has responded to what's happened quickly and I think this will get "public confidence" back.

But no, I don't think a core attraction on Habbox, or any website for that matter, should be abolished just because of one mistake.

Fixed pricing is crap!! the .1,2,3,4 ect is crap. Should be either 1hc, 1.5hc, 2hc ect ect

if they scraped values another fansite would just come along and do their own.

Azza

the silver nelly 8-11 is good idea
but considering whats happening l8ly it prob would be best to use a diff sites rare values now.
from what happened with samovar it could just easily be done again with other rares if their value is going up rapidly that means somethings wrong (sarcasium)
anyway think habbox values shud be binned now tbh =] as there is dear of more mistakes

Yes, Everyone has said they have been good values over the past years, But recently the RV department and Values have gone down hill.

I still say scrap them, Or don't have fixed values..
Have ones like;

1.5-2.5 For the green dragon

[Thats just an example]

But then that's not values if you give a range. It goes from rare values to rare ranges.

I think what people need to realise is that just because a value is there doesn't mean that you have to trade that value down to the last rubber duck.

For example when you buy a car in real life it has a value. When you buy a house it has a value. It doesn't mean that you have to pay that value. The owner of the house/car can either ask for more than it's worth, or the person buying can try and get it at a cheaper price.

So actually I stand by my claim that one big problem shouldn't result in a department been abolished, just like one wrong news article shouldn't mean news is scrapped, or one wrong house price shouldn't mean an estate agents is closed down.

This is buying pixelated Sofa's, not buying a car irl or a house irl :P

It's the same principle..

I always try to relate things to real life to put them in context otherwise people start thinking/expecting things that are impossible. :P

Yeh but the thing is people do trade down to the last rubber duck. And its the most anoying thing ever. People dont understand that its a guild, but when you put prices at 1.2 , 1.7, then to me if i didn't read the guild blurb at the top, that seems to be an exact value.

le harry
18-03-2007, 12:18 PM
The 1.7's are annoying. You give them a hc and a tubmaster or whatever, then you say i add 2 pods and a bath. they are like omgz no thats only 1.69854854. Comon, just stick at. 1HC - 2HC.

spanner-head

If you look at house prices now nearly all of them have I.T.R.O (In the region of) prices. :p

***** I agree. I jsut ive them a duck profit to shut them up. Dont you think habbos should decide what they trade at. Thats why the range guild is better. It also doesn't cause as much confusion as its not an exact price and people dont live by it.

Well it is a value, that's why they're called rare values.

What I'm saying is that, yes the values are there, but no you don't have to follow them exactly. I've given examples in my other post. It clearly states on the Rare Values page that "our rare values are a guide".

If they recon its a guild. Why isn't it called "Rares guild" Because again the term "rare values" means to me at first sight that these are the actually prices.

no simple as. If they scrap then someone will just make a new site with worse values on. either way, its either habbox or someone else. AllHabbos prices were completely different to habboxs. Like a HC was something like 50rd i cant remember. But yeh NO

Never said scrap it. If you look at my first post i suggested it should be turned into a guild rather than an exact value

spanner-head
18-03-2007, 12:37 PM
They have already done the "estimated guide price" for the coins so why not the rares?

Example

Gold bar 4.5 - 5hcs

kk.
18-03-2007, 12:38 PM
stop saying guild lol. Yeh but people on here are saying 'shut it down' or 'close it for a week' firstly if you shut it down someone else will make the values up and if you close it for a week people might not go back and people on habbo will be like 'come to our rare values site' and then habbox will lose people which will eventually close habbox or have like a few poeple on lol. Well, i still say no to the guide of liek 1hc - 2hc because its not a value, its a guide. It will be much harder to buy or sell because the sellers will be like 2hc for my green dragon and the buyers will be saying buying green dragon 1hc. They wont meet in the middle because everyone is selfish and want to be rich. One value for each rare is much better than a guide imo

The credits are different. There not technically furni because there not really useful, just for show really. lol

So your actually saying now that it is an exact value. Not a guide
