I think habbox should have set up a application form to become a rvr manager instead of picking someone who's worked with them for ages, God sake, give someone who uses habbox and is really well focused a chance! not just some guy who's been with them for a long time, anyway don't flame its my opinion.

Its a managers job someone who is working for rvr department deserves it more with there experiences and are trusted more.

Only way to have trust is to be loyal and working along side the rare values team. How can we tell them from a simple application? Nearly impossible.

Unless a new department is opened, a member of the department almost always becomes Manager; why change the way it has always been done? :s

I think that people who are Rare Values Reporters do use Habbox (I think they probably do) and that they are well focused.
And if this is in light of YMO being made RVR I think he is well focused otherwise he wouldn't have been Assistant Rare Values Manager under :-undertaker-:

***, are you *REMOVED* or somthing? people get head as a reward for the work they have done, its given to people who have worked here for a while, and are a trusted and good member of the team, not point getting head to some one whos just joined habbox and them then not doing anything at all.

Managers are almost always chosen from the department they come from, or Habbox staff who are trustworthy. The only case where applications for a managment position are open to applications is if there is no clear person to manage a new department, but even then that's within Habbox staff.

roflmao @ the link craig posted.
whats the point in choosing a randomer who they probably wont trust?

Well I agree with Craig's sentiments although not quite so forcefully. If there was a man for the job it is YMO!!! He is an extremely helpful, dedicated and
long serving member of the Habbox Staff. The End :D

I can see your point that it would be nice to have open applications, then for example also people with experience from other websites could apply here.
But it would be hard for us to know if they can be trusted with such a big responsibility. Another advantage of picking somebody who has already been habbox staff for a while, is that they know how we work, and it doesn't cost us a lot of time to explain them what to do and what is expected from them.

You mean you want to be a manager and would like to skip going through the ranks like everybody else?
Habbox never hire people to have management roles totally out of the blue, unless it is a new department, and you will tend to find that the person heading the department will be Habbox staff anyway. All departments at Habbox require specific content access of some sort, and can be very sensitive, such that we can only accept managers that we can trust; and the only way of deciding trust, is working with somebody or seeing them work for a long amount of time, thereby gaining trust.
For something as sensitive as Habbox rare values, we can't just open applications to become a manager, if not only because of the responses like:
"I want to become a Rare Values manager because I think that the mochamaster should be worth 20 hcs"
He only thinks this because he has five mochamasters and no other rares, and would like to gain something out of it.
I would have thought that, with the recent goings on in the RV department, people might understand how much of a trust based organisation it is, and once trust is questionned (even when questionned wrongly) it takes a lot to get it back, and people often never get the chance.
My advice, start small, gain trust, gain reputation, reap the rewards later on :).
I started off as a Trialist Radio DJ and Trialist News Reporter, in the space of a year and a bit, I was Radio Manager and News Manager, with full access to HabboxLive and Joomla. I wasn't allowed to apply for that access, it was given to me after I proved for a year that I could be trusted.
