I'm thinking of quitting web development altogether.

It's been an exciting year or so but I've learnt nothing.

I wanted to learn HTML & CSS but got no-where.

I wanted to learn PHP but go no-where.

It's been a year of, unproductive-ness really and I think it's time to call it a day.

I don't know what I'll do, but I can't really think of myself as a web developer who knows nothing.

I am too, although you earn money id rather get a part time job you get alot more. Im alot better at coding flash than designing but ill probably quit that too. Altogether its a waste of time as I have more fun on my wii.

Ill back up what Dunko has said, if you like, ill throw you in at the deep end and teach you XHTML and CSS. It's alot better than HTML. I may be busy at times, but I will guide you through the major steps easily in a few days. P.M if you would like to take this offer further.

Adam, the choice is yours, but I'd like you to stay as you are really good at habbo layouts. For your loving husband....

You might aswell carry on with layouts, as your good with them, and learn php in a few months, if you still can't get your head around it leave it and carry on with layouts still, you might as well carry on trying, by the time your 21 you would have a huge amount more XP then most other people in any type of web design, and you might get a job in it, good pay, but if you don't like it any more stop, not point carrying on with somthing you don't enjoy.

By any chance are you teaching your self? using tutorial sites? if you are then you'r not pushing your self enough, remember to go over things you have already learnt and not skip over sections of a tut

Well... you could do what I do instead of "full out web development".....

I basically provide help/coding/layouts to people who are too lazy or can't do it themselves for free! And it keeps me busy and teaches me tons!

Hmmm If your not prepared to learn stick at what you do best. :) If you don't enjoy it however you should quit. Its all about enjoyment but It would be sad to see you go.

Nah dont, I like your work. If you are bored with HTML why dont you learn a server based language, much more "fun". Your layouts are hawt
