I was surprised I didn't see any threads on this movie, but hell it was one good one.

The fight scenes are awesome imho even though I'm not a huge fan of those gladiator/save the kingdom sort of movies.

I strongly recommend watching this movie. For those of you who have already seen it, feel free to discuss :P

I loved the first fight scene where he kept approaching the enemies in slow motion while killing the people who were approaching him.

It's brilliant. Amazing cinematography, brilliant characters and lots of blood.

The end depressed me a little though, I wanted them to carry on to victory.

Well the Battle of Thermopolae actually happened, and the film was staying true to history, although of course there were no monsters, etc in reality when the battle happened, but it's based on Frank Miller's comic book novels like Sin City, so yeah, pretty alternative. Anyway, yeah, the 300 soldiers did well but were slaughtered when it came to Xerxe's mainforce. The film ends with the entire Greek military about to attack the Persians, this battle they actually won, and overthrew King X.
