Well, Whilst browsing around the Habbox websites i descovered that Habboxlive.com has now "Ripped" the MyPod off www.MyBobba.com (http://www.MyBobba.com)

Now i have contacted habboxlive and i am awaiting a reply.

I bet you somebody will comment saying something stupid but if somebody ripped something that was from HabboxLive or an affiliated website you would be all over it.

Well, I can show all the development images with the modified date :) Therefore proof that it was drawn and developed by myself and MyBobba. Plus I don't need to copy sites. I can do things my own way :)

Basically under the copyright act 1988 it is against service conditions to run / display any image copyrighted to the website the image was taken from.

Therefore, a screenshot is the same as the image.. just not coded.

HOWEVER

The design was hand drawn by myself, with no taking/copying of images, therefore legal. It's basically similar to someone painting a picture of an iPod then selling it.

This is a laugh-a-minute thread :P Firstly, Apple own the iPod, so technically they could take you down (or anyone else using their product images for that matter).

It doesn't take 60 hours to make this. I bet you used the tutorial on Pixel2Life to make the graphic, with small changes, and then it's just some pretty simple Javascript to interact with the player.

I never used any design tutorials due to the fact the majority are Photoshop which I hate, aswell as Fireworks. I'm Paintshop Pro 7, yes very old program but I love it. Plus if you notice that tutorial has a wide shape, more rounded, different colour plus it's not pixeled. So it would be no use to me as I don't like the width of that picture.

I drew it from hand, by looking at the ipod then trying to draw it onto PSP7 much like doing an alteration.

The guys who started this whole thing off are acting like the injured party here, and trying to make us all out as arrogant individuals who won't listen to anything against the sites. If either of them had contacted myself, or 8Freak8 beforehand, this problem could have been resolved much quicker and with less fuss; clearly they are trying to get as much publicity for their site out of this as possible, and are trying to dirty Habbox's reputation as much as they can in the process (no quoting and commenting that Habbox has a dirty rep. please).

The image in question is part of our layout which we purchased from a designer for a good price, trusting that all copyright laws had been complied with; nobody in their right mind checks through every single fansite for images, posted on new layouts, that could be on different servers, and sure to God I don't. So we had no way of knowing that anything was being infringed.

As I say, any problems with the site could have been brought to both me and 8Freak8 to deal with, but some people just seem so intent on making a totally public affair out of it, it is unbelievable.

The image has now been updated and changed to stop anymore whining, and could have been uploaded a lot sooner if these two hadn't been so hell bent on adding a Habbox site to their "Closed List".

So it's totally down to them how long 'their' iPod stays on the site for.

I have full respect for those people who have defended Habbox and HabboxLive in this thread, and am currently in the proces of +repping as many as I can, for the sheer show of common sense that they have given.

So if that's all? Let's close this thread.

The guys who started this whole thing off are acting like the injured party here, and trying to make us all out as arrogant individuals who won't listen to anything against the sites. If either of them had contacted myself, or 8Freak8 beforehand, this problem could have been resolved much quicker and with less fuss; clearly they are trying to get as much publicity for their site out of this as possible, and are trying to dirty Habbox's reputation as much as they can in the process (no quoting and commenting that Habbox has a dirty rep. please).

Why change the image Ad? They never thought of the design. Only the colour.
