don't you think that would be worth having? it would save people alot of time. and it's not a secruity risk..... being able to have a default font or text colour would be good me thinks.

I don't think its a good idea mainly because we have different skins meaning it would be very annoying for people on a different skin to read the specific font colour you use.

Thanks for your suggestion though :).

Doesn't take a second to highlight a post?

yeah but the background on all skins are all light, so people arn't going to use a light colour are they.

or as someone said, highlight.

MADbut many people use a font of their own anyway, and it'll be easier for them instead of having to type the bb codes in. so as you've put in your post, it's like your saying that people who alter their font manually shouldn't because it's "annoying" for those users who can't be bothered to highlight some text..

It doesnt take a second, to highlight your post and select a font/color/size when your posting it anyway though really "/

I wanted this like a year or so ago but I was told it was not possible.
Habbox always has a reason for not having something don't they

true, but it depends how complex the text you want is.

Well if it's particularly complex, a standard format would only set a preset for everything. You're talking about a whole new system to replace three or four clicks. Imagine as well if someone set all their text to size 7, bright pink ;)

i'm sure it's possible to make limits.

I'm really unsure on this, as it has good and bad points really.

I think maybe a poll vote? After all limits could be added? We've got sig limits now so meh...

But then again i dont see many people 'alter' the default text or colour...

But still, what's the point? It's another query or two on the editor, and for what? Saving two seconds of time....

yeah and if you post frequently it really is quite annoying altering things all the time.

*Unsure* dont habbox have a BBcode which where you type the colour it makes the text like that.?

txt

I mean you can do bold, italic, underlined with shortcuts. Anyhow there's not much point really.

Saves time for whom? Because so far in this thread nobody has used any standardised form of font - other than perhaps bold.

because it takes too much time for people to change it all, and if they use quick reply it takes even longer

Just to point out, there would need to be rules attached, like with sigs. That is unless you dont think pages of posts full of bright obnoxiously coloured, size 50 text, wont get annoying "/

It will become too easy for users to post with ridiculous sized letters in horrible colours and a very annoying font. I don't like the idea personally. The majority of people who do change their font is simply by bolding it, which takes two seconds.

the wombats

that thing only allows font colour and font type. not the font size. and it only works in posts cause you gotta work around $post[message] in the templates.

Tis a good idea in theory, but as garion said people would get stupid with it and do massive text so dont think it'd work out
