I can't PM you, so only ---MAD--- post in this thread please, thanks.
How many (on average) reports will it take to become a forum moderator? Just wondering, because it intrests me now Ymo has become one as well. Because I have reported loads of rule breaking. Thanks! :)

Yeah, but i'm talking about before. And @ Bransid;
If you are wondering how to become a forum moderator: We are currently looking at users who report posts often (using the report post button) and report user's breaking rules often to smods in this (http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1173) forum.

Ymo was a former moderator, yes
However out of the total reports we get on a daily basis Ymo was well over 40% of all reports made which was way over enough to be noticed by one of us or an admin
Also we dont just look at reported posts, we also look at the overall maturity of the users posts, how they handle issues on the forum, previous accounts, previous infractions/bans/signature warnings etc
The other addition to the moderation team which hasnt yet been announced barely reported any posts but is a well respected, long term and mature member of the forum ;)

I'm guessing the un announced new mod is :Hazel? I don't remember him being a mod.
Ymo probably deserved being a mod though. Apparently he reports loads of posts, and he's already a trusty member of Habbox (many other jobs) and also spends alot of time on it. And quite a few mods have been fired/resigned recently so there needed to be a few more mods, guess Ymo was the top choice.

Hazel's great.
When you post around the whole forum rather than sticking to just say like, one forum eg. Trading, you sort of get to know others from their posts, and Hazel really does make some good posts and you can tell that she is a clever girl and all that.
I think she should do great for the department.

'Tis a secret ;)
Yes I am afraid I would agree with the majority of the other posts made, your chances of becoming a Moderator are very slim due to the fact you have misbehaved and been cautioned/banned in the past. Good behaviour is very important for a Moderator because we are supposed to set an example to other members; if you have failed to uphold such behaviour in the past then it can be assumed you won't act as appropriate in the future.

Although the question isn't addressed towards me when we hire Moderators we take in to account other factors than how many posts they've reported.
For example the person's past behaviour and how they behave with people on the Forum (i.e. posts) and generally what kind of person they are. Most important we look at their past behaviour including whether members have been banned or are cautioned/have been cautioned in the past.

When Moderation Applications are open you apply with reasons why etc, Seacat or someone else PM'S you and sets up an interview, once you've done that you either get accepted as trialist or not, once trial is up you either pass or don't pass. This is what happened to me anyways ;)

Not too sure what you mean. But if your talking about threads that are unacceptable that get moved, we do that so others don't see the inappropriate content they have on them :). Its much faster to move threads that have to remove the content on each thread (specially if there are lots of them).
That explains it :).
