@eff - try giving some more details as to what your site is about (like habbo, etc) and that kind of stuff. It is really frustrating for web designers when clients just say "i need something done, can you do it?" - we don't know unless you tell us what the project is!

I don't want a 'cut of the profits' - because intelligence says there will probably be none.

You wouldn't approach a professional web developer and say that would you; unless you was a well-establish company - but that's a different story because you're not.

Scriptz - I'm not really bothered, people get what they pay for. I'm sick of doing layouts that are worth much more for tiny amounts of money.

I also have enough on my plate at the minute so I'll probably charge more.
