Giving your 'Friends' your email address... Dont do it!

Just thought I would warn every one about giving out email addresses....

... No matter how tempting it may be to avoid the filter and give your email to your 'friends' don't!

I made the mistake about 3 years ago, I knew she couldnt get my password for my email by giving it her or for my habbo - However - I forgot about my secret question... and when you press forgot password for your email its tells you your secret question all you need was the answer...

Not thinking, we were randomly talking and we got onto the topic of my secret question and like the dumb person I was back then she got the answer out of me (obviously I didnt know she was after that, I even forgot what my secret question was!)... thus meaning she could say to habbo I forgot my password, go into my email and get a new password!

I lost all the furni I owned aswell as the Habbo I was on.

So even if you think its just an email address, what harm can it do? .....Please dont !!!

You use 2 different emails, 1 for your habbo, 1 for your messenger :)

That is one of the stupidest things ever. I always have a seperate habbo account email to my msn.

There really is no reason not to, you just have to have half a brain cell and work out how they could gain an entry into your email account, the smartest thing to do is to make your secret answer totally diffrent from the actual question, that way if it comes up into a convo you'll know you can say it without giving them an advantage.

I only give it out to people I trust, who I have been for a long time. My secret question is a kinda personal info, which I also don't give out. So I am safe :)

For the record I was very young and it was all about keeping your password secret... I never thought about my secret question...

Now I do have 2 emails and never give out my habbo one.

It was just a warning to people who never think about that emails that way.

...And yes I know it was stupid but I only had half a brain back in the old days ;]

My habbo has an AOL account attached to it, and i believe the only way to reset that is to phone AOL. And no-one even knows the name of it ;)
