16 Birthday.

I was 16 on sunday, Not a bad day but. I just didnt feel like a birthday.
Didnt get many presents, Just got money. Got £5000 in total. But it just didnt feel right.

And my brother and parents were fighting but thats a different story...


Anyone else felt like that?

well i wouldnt lie. My grandma died and it was a savings account she had for me when i hit 16, So i can buy a car... But thats not the point.

Because it really didnt feel like a birthday, thats why i wanna see what other people thought off theres and stuff.. Like does this happen at chrismas when you get older too? Do your parents not bother about it as much?

From your post it looks like your being a tad bit ungrateful.

Sorry to hear that your nan died I had to burry my grandfather today and have had many relatives die so I know how it feels to loose a loved one.

As said loads of times as you get older things become less fun.
I still enjoy summer as I'm out with my friends practically every single day, but I don't enjoy much else, going on holiday, christmas, easter, I have never enjoyed halloween because it's pointless just an excuse for big companies to make more money.

I've definately noticed Christmas isn't what it used to be when I was younger. Birthdays are the same pretty much. I don't have partys like I used to. I just get money and a few gifts.

And my birthday, for my 13th (im 13 now) we had my bigbrother's Girlfriend's son round cos we are major mates, all we did was play a bit of football then my 360 Premium Pack arrived, thats all that happened :(

- If your birthday is starting to get boring then do something different. Something you don't do normally like a theme park, holiday or anything.
- Just remember who's day it is
- Xmas is a time when your family and freinds gets together and if that gets boring plan something everyone can do and afford.
