There's a new update on the Habbo UK homepage which says..

"Buying a Pet from the Catalogue?
We are currently experiencing a technical issue with purchasing Pets as gifts from the catalogue.


We advise that you do not purchase Pets as gifts at this time."

I bought my friend 3 crocs yesterday and they were un-openable, this is the problem :)
