Right well, last summer I broke my arm and after two unsuccesful operations to keep the bones in place they resorted to inserting "screws" through the bone. That left me with some nasty scars on my left wrist. Seen below.

I was actually asking whether it would be worth plastic surgery. I am getting quite consious of it now and I'm starting to think about removing the scars. Any advice would be appreciated.

i think plastic surgery is quite drastic.
but i think you should maybe try some different formulars for helping to get rid of scars before considering to have surgery
maybe bio oil?
I heard about it on the tv
hope i helped :]

Cheers for the help, I actually have some but even my doctor has admitted the scars are protuding to much for Bio-Oil to help. He said it may soothe the agitated colouring which I must admit that it has. Thank you anyway. :)

Don't get plastic surgery, their are many laser treatments availble now which can prove just as effective and even cheaper. My cousin went to the private clinic ( http://www.theprivateclinic.co.uk/microsites/scars/index.html ) to have scars removed and it is really effective, her scars are basically gone and cheaply compared to surgery.

I have scars like that, but only I can see them. I was in a bad car accident and my ankle was crushed and I needed metal pins to hold my ankle togeather. I don't scar easilly so you have to look realllllly close to see the scars. I guess having scars on your wrist is different than having scars on your ankle.
