alright dude, dont worry about drum gear at this stage, get urself a proffesional drum teacher first to get the grips of it and see if you are good at it and it would be a suitable instrument for you. by this time you may have some more money and then just check in the papers and on ebay for cheap kits if you are looking to buy one. Urm hope that sets you off in the right direction??
Yer fanx for help.

its better off if you have a couple of lessons first, before you go splashing out on a drum kit.

If you are unsure about drums have a lesson or 2 before you buy the kit, but if you want to play 100% get the kit before the lessons. with out the kit the lessons are pointless, you need to be able to practise at home, you should be able to get a good starter kit for around £150, then use the other £50 to buy a ride (you will need this after about 3 lessons) symbol off ebay, drum lessons would be around £10 for 30-60 mins once a week.
