I can't find it on the official fansite list, so I guess it has.

They haven't removed it off their site though. I thought they'd have the sense to take it down, or habbo just removed them and not botherd contacting them about it?

1 of it's reps (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/SteveBrown03) still has the badge. Skaterchu has so many badges, so we'll never know if it's been removed.

Steve hasn't logged on in a while, and I believe that ClubHabbo was still on the official fansite list last night, therefore, it would still show the badge on his homepage as he hasn't logged on; www.habbo.co.uk/home/FoohFooh (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/FoohFooh) - she still has the Hobba badge. They might not even know that it has lost its status yet, that's why they might not of removed it from their site.

Well if they have it's a shame but think about it, they were unlucky enough to have graphic images on their site, so how can habbo link themselves/be associated to it?

Reason you was removed as they got too many complaints about your site. Including removal of copyright on a free license of cutenews, stealing from sites, repeated hacking alligations, and i'm sure there is a whole load more.

No point having a site which does the above.

I agree with Kardan on this one, as soon as I seen that Clubhabbo had lost its status I thought straight away "Habbox" :P It's a damn shame to be honest, but the haters of Clubhabbo will be pleased, well done to you men and women who have probably been another reason to Clubhabbo getting made unofficial.. I'm betting Habbo was targeting Clubhabbo after what happend "that day".

EDIT: On another note, it seems HabboDown.com is now unofficial also.. It's been a sad day for Official Fansites :(

I just heard Skaterchu swear on air, lol they're all laughing at the UK on their forum and like 'omgz US is a bigger hotel anyway, betta to be a official dre'.

In my opinion no, the US fansite list is a mess, same with CAs. UKs is extremely hard to get into and they have tough standards, so you have to be a pretty good fansite to be official in the UK, unlike in the US where there's some scrappy free host websites.

Oh well, I think they should be removed from all hotels, and unable to become official again. They also say on chf a lot too 'we'll get voted back in again' :S

(just before i say this, Jordy this isn't aimed at you, it's just a rant)

Well, obviously they shouldn't. What should happen to sites which were removed for something bad (not inactivity etc.) is they should have to wait 1 or 2 years like Habbox had to and if they made it into this official vote, I would quite readily be very very annoyed.

Looking at CH forums, it's clear to see a lot of their users are very stereotypical and average habbos. You're more likely to find a habbo which is quite new to the hotel to be listening to CH than one which has been around a while, and a lot of the time it reflects in the forum, site and DJ's.

Untrue.

You will notice a steady, slow decline in hits - nothing immediately noticeable but there will be a decline.

Also - how is it CH's fault they got hacked?

Maybe Habbo had to kick them off to make room for everyone's favourite site.. Habbox.com

Or maybe they just went too far.

2hd.
30-03-2007, 04:50 PM
ok, regarding hits.

I think there will be a steady decline unless they go back to the days where they had to flood rooms LOTS.

Habbox was popular after losing official status because they have their rare values so newer users are directed here because they have a need for the site.

However, ClubHabbo gets lots of hits because of their radio and because this isn't a need but an extra they will experience a decline in numbers as well as newer habbos will not notice them via the list, but because habbos directing them there, which they would probably just ignore.

These 'super sites' always become unofficial. By Super Sites I'm referring to exetremly big fansites which are, clubhabbo, thinkhabbo, habbox. I think HabboNation will come official and then become the next clubhabbo

All these listeners go from thinkhabbo to clubhabbo to presumably habbonation.

Just Habbonation's layout is awful and I've never been to keen :P

How can they be removed for getting hacked?!*Shrugs* Quite a few of the more popular fansites have had at some point such a security compromise, with similar content. If this is a case, official status would be extremely volatile from now on.

BUT... we don't know if this is the reason. This thread is absolutely packed with speculation, and Mr Chu has not heard anything yet. I'm amazed at how the "know-it-alls" are aware of issues that haven't been announced (i.e. the reason official status was revoked). IMO it's best to wait for SkaterChu to receive an email on the matter, before assuming we're all right.

Its all to do with the way they advertise. They just shout out in rooms and people listen because its things like "Tune in win a rare" when new Habbos have no chance when 200 other people are listening.

They may or may because when TH was removed it still got listeners by offereing thrones at like 400 listeners etc.

:o

How can they be removed for getting hacked?!

It was much more than that. (I have heard) That staff were trading pictures and the hacker found out and used it as evidence but do not quote me on this.

Yeah I agree Barmi. I think it's silly if sites can be removed for getting hacked, unless it's proved to be because of their negligence or something? What is stupid is that it's probably the people who hacked it who complained to Habbo Staff.

It's not like ClubHabbo wanted to get hacked. In the real world websites don't get hacked because the staff get paid, but in a situation where you're providing a large Habbo fansite, you have to trust 50+ people not to hack your site - and they have no reason why they shouldn't because it's not like you're paying them or anything.

It's simply not possible to prevent a fansite from being hacked.

If it's not because they got hacked, if it's for some other valid reason that they got removed then I think it's fair.

Edit: Actually I spoke to somebody "in the know" and they said it was because they had illegal cutenews 3 times.

Edit: Actually I spoke to somebody "in the know" and they said it was because they had illegal cutenews 3 times.

The cutenews wasn't illegal on the site, so many people spread rumours about the site its unbelivable.

A Few people decided to start an 'i hate ch' sort of group, and try thier best to take it down. They sent an email to my host claiming to be cutenews and saying it was illegal, and our host suspended us for it - but then we purchased a new licence as proof it was legal, and they un-suspended us.

Then, many people attempt to take us down by giving out radio passwords, and admin cutenews passwords - and doing things to the site to get us removed.

To be honest, its not my fault the site got hacked - many official fansites get hacked, its just the fact that the people who reported clubhabbo, are the people who hacked it.

However if there were other legitimate reasons (one I'm hearing right now is ripping) then I suppose the removal is fair. However since Skaterchu apparently hasn't recieved an email we can't know 100% what the reasoning was so we will just have to wait I suppose :)

Now I can assure you that no-one from ClubHabbo sent HabboDown any form of email containing swearing.

I am the only person who replies to the help tools on the website. After seeing the "report" on HabboDown, I searched through the 300 odd email's we had, and found a un-replied email from YaTwice informing us that the images had been stolen.

Since then, I have checked, and no form of swearing was sent from our mail servers to HabboDown. I have contacted HabboDown about this and even mentioned it in the reply to the email, but, to no suprise, they haven't replied.

The situation about using HabboDown's alts has been resolved, and new images have been designed from scratch.

Now, no-one knows what the current situation is. As far as I know, we have been removed for... well... I don't know - that's the point. I'm sure we will have some sort of email in our inboxes on Monday morning.

If CH got removed for the site being hacked then that shouldnt be allowed as it does clearly state in their disclaimer:
ClubHabbo also holds no responsibility for any content seen on this website if the website/radio is to have been illegally taken over by any third parties, however we do try to prevent actions like this from happening.

ClubHabbo tries its best to follow the fansite way 100% of the time, as we are a safe friendly fansite who's content is in no way offensive. However, ClubHabbo take no responsiblity for what Happens on an on air broadcast if we are not aware of the problem. All we can do is apologise beforehand incase anything like this does happen in the future.

It is unfair if they get removed for the "hacking".

But i did hear the other day that Staff were planning to hack the Radio but i thought nothing of it.

The situation with HabboDown i don't think is true either. Ive got emails back from CH before which were abosultely fine. Formal and pleasant. Tbh i think HabboDown are too stuck up for their own good.

Now, no-one knows what the current situation is. As far as I know, we have been removed for... well... I don't know - that's the point. I'm sure we will have some sort of email in our inboxes on Monday morning.
You should remove the alts immediately - not leave them up whilst you change them.

I'm sorry, but I'm more likely to believe YaTwice on this one.

Same, YaTwice sounds like a much more reliable source.

Lmao, they never got removed for being hacked. It was illegal cutenews, no matter what they say the host agreed to it being illegal due to the Power by Cutenews disclaimer being removed.

The CuteNews licence in question was legit, but think about it this way,

You are a webhost which is then suddenly bombarded with 10 or so e-mails saying a cutenews is illegal. But you haven't actually confirmed it with the company. What would you do? In this case the host suspended ClubHabbo until we proved that it was legitimate. Which the licence was.

Please do not post if you don't actually know the facts ;)

Also it could be for a number of reasons why we were removed off official and many people are proclaiming they actually know the answers, when in fact nobody will actually know the real reason until myself and Ryan have a e-mail in our inbox!

I've been told by very reliable sources that it wasn't chris that removed CH and it was infact Helkat because Chris is away currently.

So when he returns their official status may be given back, nobody knows what is going on right now.

1st Thinkhabbo then Clubhabbo Whats next?

Why Do people Try getting All The Popular Sites Removed banned Or What ever Just becuse Theres isn't. These Sites Worked Hard To get where they was and Some Jelous Habbos/People Come Along And Hack/Sexual Content On it. Just To Remove it From the Official Site List.

I Didnt Like CH But The money They have used Has Been wasted Because Of a Selected Habbos Hacking into it.

I don't Care Who is Official or not Its just a badge. It dont really get you listeners there are many sites official that only get 10 Listeners A day.

I've used the Clubhabbo contact tool twice moaning how the 'Currently Playing: omgz tune in and invite for dj W/E' is always like that, and doesn't actually show the song. I've never once had a reply or it resolved with most DJs. Plus YaTwice posted that news report in EARLY March which just proves you don't read mail, and when you occasionally do you just swear at them :S. It took you till YESTERDAY to remove the images, only because it's been highlighted on this forum. Meaning another victory to habbox forum :P

Personally the way ClubHabbo and its users have reacted to it im not surprised they where removed. You need to get over it official status means hardly anything anyway.. Though if all you care about are badges i suppose you have some reason be upset.
