Carlisle boosted their hopes of a League One play-off place with an excellent 2-0 victory against fellow promotion hopefuls Tranmere.
Carlisle started well as Danny Graham netted from close range after being set up by Joe Garner on 10 minutes.
Tranmere piled on the pressure but paid the price for missing chances as Kevin Gall converted Carlisle's second on 67 minutes, after a Graham pass. United made it difficult for themselves as Paul Thirlwell was sent off after 83 minutes, but the visitors held on.

gan on, absolute mint night! deffo best away game for a long, long time..

great performance by both the players and the carlisle fans, there was 1,200 of us singing 'neil mcdonalds blue n white army' for 20min non-stop in the first half, wasn't half loud like! heard derek lacey kept switching off the commentary and just held up the mic to the carlisle fans :D

got a few vids n all, got one of the last 5min and after-game celebrations too, upload them later on when i cba.
