Okay , I have 2 accounts , one for when im at uni and one for spending money on what i want. I look in the 2nd account and see i have 500 quid for what i want to buy. Perfect I can buy my xbox 360. I ask my mom and dad who say yeah but when they open my account book they then tell me they transfered 225 quid across from my main account. They did this without telling me and now im 50 quid short :|

Rant over.

how old are you? if you're old enough to be at Uni surely you (and you only) should be able to control your bank accounts? I'd ring your bank up and get it so your parents don't have any control over them anymore. (Unless of course they're giving you money which would be bad :P)

Nooo!

Im 14 LOL , We just started a savings account when i was a baby and they've been adding to it. We reached the full amount in it so they moved it into my other account without me knowing thus making me think its mine

My mum does that but I don't mind to be honest because if she didn't do i I'd have like £2000 in one account and like £25 in the other so she balances it out for me :P

Is there any reason you can't set one up yourself? If your at uni you must be 18?

Well if your old enough to be at Uni, I'd say your parents shouldn't really be in control of your money and your account.

Speak to them and tell them you had made plans to spend that money on something you had been saving for and they had no right to simply move your cash about without even telling you, and now you've been short changed.

I'd look into getting sole responsibility of your own accounts...

Your parents are doing it because they want to secure you a better future, it may seem out of order to you but they think they are doing the right thing :p!

:S - My dad tried to get money from my bank before, but they told him that he cant without a written signed letter from me..

Although, my bank did send a letter to my parents asking if they where aware of the "large quantities of paypal payments" being sent to my bank account, ROFL.

So basically they stole your money. They are sorta entitled to your money, after all, they are your parents. But they should inform you so imo.

Okay, first of all. They helped you get to where you are today. So, basically, you owe them a lot! They got you through school && everything. If they take your money, yes, they could've told you before they had done it but still that gives you no reason to call your parents morons. Really. To everyone, we owe our parents a lot. Especially, considering all the things you put them through, things they have done for you, things they have sacrificed for you.

Ano, I said "you owe them a lot!" a lot. Mah bad.

Lucky, am BROKE! I have probably less then $2.00 in my bank account. It's hard for me to save money. When I get money, I buy clothes or shoes. But normally, thankfully, my mom is sweet so she buys me stuff even if I do have money, which is very rare.
