Put the nav where the new thing is, a advert under that and the nav on the left side or top as a dropdown bar.

Add a Content box in the middle either as a rounded or paper with fold in corner and ripped bottom.

Anyway, Content in the middle yes.

Maybe go the extra mile and make the content box with rounded edges with advertisement hanging off the bottom of it, maybe via chain?
