ok, right. recently i've been a bit .. bleh. and i've just wanted to meet someone who was gay/bi irl? not even for a relationship really.. just to talk to. like someone my own age and stuff. but i really don't know how to go about itt.

like, i've been thinking maybe i should just tell everyone and get it over and done with, because 6 of my mates know and they don't give a **** lol. but then on the other hand i'm reluctant because someone is bound to react badly.

this kid told everyone he was gay by wearing a tiara too school saying "IM GAY" and he was a nerd and got bullied for it. But yeah everyone's fine with it now. They just make him stand outside whilst we're changing in the changing rooms ;/ I don't rly care he's a sorta friend of mine but Ben, just go ahead with it. I think you should tell everyone..
If they react badly it's there problem & not yours.
& you know if any thing happens you have 6 good friends to rely on & look for help in.
Who knows if you come out you might meet more people like you who are afraid to come out in case people react badly.

ooh what did your mates say in the end?none of them really cared, there was a few "how did you figure out?" and then jenna who was the one who sorta looked on myspace and saw it was the one who asked me if i was joking, and she was like "oh, i've never had a gay friend before". i think she was a bit weirded out about it though. but then one of my mates emily had like a one to one chat with me about it, and she was like "i'm totally fine with it, and if anyone says anything just ignore them. i've been through the whole am i, aren't i phase etcetc" so i guess we have like a lil strong bond between us around that ahar.

ye i mean if you ever need to talk about anything else gay related or not, i found out some other boy in my school is bi and i have started to talk to him more often so i get what you mean :d

Well you have to be realistic about it because I know that six people already know, but when your'e bound to tell more people, it will most certainly get around, you have to think how you will handle it because people can be quite nasty because their a boy in my year is openly gay and basically he gets physically hurt, I'm not trying to put you off it I'm just trying to make sure you think it through alot before you make any decisions.

excactly the same at my skool, we have 2 gays who get bullied all the time, i think many find it very odd because one comes in with lip gloss and make up on while the other in p.e wears his socks up to his elbows:o

My thought is, just don't deny it. If someone asks "are you gay" then shrug your shoulders and say yes. It's really not becoming a huge deal anymore. I mean, no one has really asked me before, because I dated a girl for quite a long time. But if they say "are you bi" I wont lie, makes it easy. You are who you are.
