The Weekly Habbo [4/1/07]

More news than you can shake an Egg at!
Ahhh, at last - Spring is well and truely here! http://www.habbo.co.uk/habbo-imaging/avatar/8550560001680057101173501014400fe39468d69951a507f5 3f6359c5340fb.gif

#Spring is here, Spring is here#
#Life is skittles and life is beer#
#I think the loveliest time of the year#
#Is the Spring, I do, don't you?#

I am slightly disappointed too though - as someone pointed out on my Habbo Homes (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home) Guestbook, yesterday was April Fools Day. I was trying to think of a funny joke I could put on Habbo to fool you all but colmc (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/colmc) said if I did that he'd have to confiscate all my tea. (I'm assuming that means he's over the jetlag now!) Whats the point of April Fools Day without any jokes?!

Not to worry - at Christmas I intend to force all the Habbo Staff to take part in a pantomine, there will be plenty to laugh about then!

"Do you expect me to talk?!"
"No Mr Buubar, I expect you to be Widow Twanky!"

... Now there's an image!

Hopefully there will be jokes looong before then though - if you're funnier than a stick of celery (hey, I've met some hillarious celery in my time!) then you should get down to the Habbo Talent Spot (http://www.habbo.co.uk/community/Talent) Comedy auditions and tickle our ribs a bit. Telling the occasional joke would probably help too.

If comedy's not your thing don't worry - theres plenty else to choose from, this week we'll be having auditions for Poets/song writers, Dancing troups, actors (and actresses) as well as comedian's to put the Habbo Talent Spot-light on the most entertaining Habbos we can find - there will be Semi-Finals in the Theatredrome for all to enjoy and there will be Hotel alertshttp://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album759/HW_clapperboard.gif whenever there are staff judging auditions with room for an audience.

If that doesn't float your boat (or if you're unlucky enough not to get through) then theres also the NSPCC Play competition (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/nspcc) - judging is this Thursday (5th) so you have a few days left to get those entries in - remember, you're theatre career could be on the line & there are NSPCC badges up for grabs too!

Speaking of the NSPCC - they have you Habbos working hard this week! As well as the competition we now have an NSPCC poll for you to fill in, your opinions are needed on all things online; the NSPCC want to know how and why you socialise online - as if Habbo doesn't give everyone reason enough! You can find the poll here (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/nspcc/poll.html) and 35 randomly picked Habbos will gehttp://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/UK8.gift an NSPCC badge for completing the poll.

And while you've got your opinions out - why not give us some feedback on the Habbo Credits systems with our poll (http://www.habbo.co.uk/community/polls/payments.html) too!

Wow, I'm tired just thinking about all of that! But that's not all we have for you this week, oh no! It's Easter so, as you may have already noticed, the Theatredrome has had a makeover. We've also got the lovely, Eggs-citing Spring collection (http://www.habbo.co.uk/news/article162.html) in the Catalogue (sadly meaning Sport Furni has had to go back into the stockroom...) so theres Cracking (gedit?!) good fun to be had building rooms this week!

Speaking of building rooms, keep an eye on the Navigator everyone - there will be a special floor added just for the winning rooms of the Habbo Talent Spot room build competition! All rooms will open for audition use tomorrow and all room owners will sit on the judging panels! Not only that but all room owners will gain entry to the most exclusive party in town next Friday (13th April) When we have the Talent Spot After-show party with all the semi-finalists, judges and a few lucky Habbos!

Want to be one of those lucky few?! Well, keep your eyes on the site this week, there will be an Easter Egg treasure hunt which, if you find enough of the Eggs, will give you a special clue. If you're able to work out the answer, you can go to the Habbo Talent Spot (http://www.habbo.co.uk/community/Talent/events.html) pages and enter, with your Habbo name and the email address on your account. If you're lucky enough to be picked out of all our clever Egg hunters you'll get an invite to the party!

Well, that's it from me for now - I have to go plan an outfit for the big party!

- Oh, and to those who were worried - it's ok, I haven't locked Lostie in the Fun Cupboard or anything - it was his turn for a holiday, but he'll be back soon, refreshed and with renewed tea supplies for the office.
... I hope!
