I f someone from the states wants to ring my mobile
lets say my mobile number was 07799999999
what would they put in frount of the number?

Put +44 because 44 is the country code ;)
Edit: Scratch that:
To Call From United States To United Kingdom
you have to dial the following number:
011 + 44 + The number

i thought you just put +44 and take off the first 0
e.g. - +447799999999
If you dont know how/cant do a + sign on the phone you would use
00447799999999

Put +44 at the start of the number and knock of the 0 I think... :D
