[WIP] Project Rare Value

Project Rare Value is a brand new script for Habbo fansite everywhere, which makes it extra easy to run a rare values page! Project Rare Value will make it easier than ever before - simply upload the software, use the simple installer to set up the databases and the primary admin user, and then you can easily create your site!

Project Rare Value is only a codename - the true name of the software will be revealed closer to the release. The upcoming script includes the ability to create users with specific permissions, catagorise your rares into groups and to value in thrones, HC sofas and rubber ducks. Project Rare Value will be available in more than one version. Firstly, their will be a free version, with copyright notices etc. Their will also be a paid version, available for a nominal price (less than £5), which includes my installation services and custom styling for your site.

I am currently making plans of how the versions will differentiate. Their is a good possibility that the script will be encoded in both versions. I have pretty much decided that only the paid version will include an automated installer. What price would people think was acceptable for an improved version with an installer and all the rares already installed into the system?

So far I have completed all the user functions, but I am still yet to do the functions for the rare values.

I'd like to be able to give a decoded version for £5, but the main problem is that people will give it out. I suppose I can just encode the licensing though :)

I've done those features, and not done some of them. If I don't have too much homework, it should be finished by next weekend. Their will be updates to the script, so any features that aren't there will be added, with updates every week for the first few weeks at least. Before I release it, I am going build the client area, where people can login, buy pro copies of the panel and get their license key.

The likelyhood is that the file with the functions for login, login checking and displaying rares will be encrypted with Zend, and will include PHPLock, so you will need a license key to use the pro version. As soon as I have finished the actual script (not the client area and licensing implementation), I will post a pre-order thread, where you will be able to licenses for an extra low price.

Project Rare Value is now complete, and nearly ready for Release to Market. The price has been decided (it's far cheap than has been discussed), but I just need to get the go ahead for the name.

With any luck, a thread will be posted in Web Market tonight :)

I'm postponing the free one for now, as it'll take a while to change it to make it ready. The price is going to be very cheap for a complete script like this, and will be around £2.

The paid version is planned to include every single rare currently available on Habbo Hotel UK, which will get your site up and running very quickly :) All you'll need to do it set up the database, run the install and then you'll have a fully functioning rare value system ready for your page in just 2 lines of code :)

May I ask what the different levels or users are and if their editible

Their are three user levels, which you can set when you create a user and users can be promoted and demoted as you please.

Level 1 is called Rare Valuer. Rare Valuer's can edit rare values, and change their password. Level 2 is Rare Controller, who can do what Rare Valuers can do as well as Add, Edit and Delete Rares, and view the history of the values. Level 3 is called Administrator, who has all the features of the two lower levels plus control over users.

The install takes about 5 minutes including creating the database in cPanel, importing the SQL, create the config file and setting up the first admin :)

For now, it's only paid. Their may be a free version later with no installer, and you'll have to add every single rare yourself.
