Best pokemon game? (GBA/DS)

Whats the best one and where would you recomend buying it?

Personally the best one i played is gold. but whats your opinion?

they were the best back on GB color. i remember fightin with my cousin coz he had level 40 charizard or something :D good old days.

but they were less complicated on GB advanced SP or whatever it was

Gold and silver were probly the best because u were able to go back to the old gyms after completing the new storyline, they should remake them like they did for the original red :]

None of the pokémon games on DS or GBA are any good, the only good ones are pokémon stadium for N64 and pokémon yellow for gameboy colour

I never got gold, but Red and Blue were so good. Better than most of the newer ones (I hope D&P is better).

I have never played any of the games with the newer pokémon (newest one I have seen in game was mew). I didn't like that they introduced new ones as it made loads of the original episodes incorrect (eg Prof Oak saying there are 150 known pokémon)

Crystal for me (sort of mix of Gold/Silver with ONE extra pokémon lol), I did enjoy Ruby/Sapphire versions because of how much you could do, but the massive amount of new pokémon is a bit overwhelming. The first 251 I can handle :8

i wouldnt say extra pokemon as you could catch suicune in goldand silver anyway but ofc in silver thats your main goal as you find him in a acave

Probably the first one I ever got, which was pokemon red, then I got yellow, and those were the only ones I had.

then it got all stupid with like hundreds of more pokemon, it was the best with the original 150.
