Still one point off the play-offs, but we really need to win our last 2 games. Especially the one against Swansea! They've gone above us by a point so it really is a three-way battle between us, Swansea and Oldham for the last play-off spot.
We started brightly and got the opening on 5 minutes when Danny Graham took his time on a header from a bouncing ball from about 6 yards out. It looked good for us and we were definitely the better side in the first half. Bang on the stroke of half time, City got a goal after a spell of pressure. The cross came in and McCombe was there to head home unmarked.
The second half was totally different and Bristol were defintely the dominant side with Carlisle letting them play around, and to be honest not seeming interested to go and get a goal. Enoch Showumni scored on 65 minutes from a very tight angle where he shouldn't really have been allowed to score. City wrapped up the three points in the 84th minute, when the ball was given to right back Bradley Orr on the right hand side. He beat a couple of defenders, turned inside and curled a great shot into the top-left corner. Keiren Westwood was rightly furious with our defence after they let him run at them instead of challenging.
Well played to City though, they came here thinking this could be a potential slip up, but proved to be ultimately stronger and went away with the three points that has nearly guaranteed second place and an automatic promotion spot to The Championship.

aye, fair play to their fans like.. 1,500 of them i think.
agree about the 1st half, we were on top and should have been a couple of goals to the good but it wasn't to be. the only good part of the 2nd half was the 2 pitch invaders. the 1st one was a bit like a lou&andy moment from little britain, he ran on from the disabled section and tackled bradley orr with his carer chasing him :D
ah well, bring on that fat scouse **** and his sheep ******** mates next week!

You were well beaten by Forest yesterday :(. Aye, you should easily be up now though.

Aye, the second one was drunk out of his head and did a kind of Alex Ferguson celebration run accross the corner of the pitch. The first one just kind of appeared cause I can't see down there from the East Stand. To be honest we should consider signing him because he got the ball better than any of our players did :P.

Go Bristol! :P
You're a red then. I find it sad that you have "The Fans" in your squad as Number 31 lol. You should be up now though, good luck in The Championship for next season (when you get there) :).

He's built like a brick you know what ;). He's fast as well. We could do with a striker like him. And their McCombe, phwoar, he's 6 ft 5 and showed it for their first goal. We had no chance up front as the long ball approach didn't work for the 44th game running .

Yeah, I think we would find it extremely tough if we went up, especially with the squad we have. I suppose he's like Glenn Murray for us. Did nothing in what he hardly played this season, but goes to Rochdale and scores about 16 or 17 in League 2 . Obviously his true place to play.

yea hes a big man and he always helps in your team, parkin for us is back next season hopefully injury free and we'll score goals HOPEFULLY:) :P
Actually if I had to choose it would be Bristol Rovers lmao. But I am not really a football fan so if Bristol are winning something I'll just be happy whatever team it is lol.

Yeah good luck down in the third tier again. Seems longer than two years that you've been up there. We've got a few injuries as well and could do with a couple back. hawley came off the bench and did nothing at all. He's not interested anymore and will leave in the summer. Rumour has it we've signed Leon Constantine from Vale and we'll make it official after the season's finished. Only a rumour, but you heard it here first ;).

ummm yeah constantine has scored goals this year so he would be a good signing, he signed for barnsley in january but if fell thru so i would think hes gnna wanna play at a higher level

constantine is just the type of player we need. there was a rumour in january that he had already signed a pre-contract agreement to sign in the summer but it fell through at the last minute, so hopefully its true.

Lol, well Rovers were unlucky in the JPT final. 3-2 against Doncaster, a League 1 team. Better than we managed last year :P.

I think he'd be a good signing as well, bit more height up front :). It would mean we've kind of raided Vale taking Jeff Smith in January and then Constantine in the summer .
