Hey everyone, is it just me, or are you completely tired of the people who embrace the emo stereotype?

Need an example?

" My life is so bad, why don't I go off and write angst poetry while I cut myself"

Why does the genre form these subcultures of eager trendoids that think its imperative to become "emo"

Don't get me wrong, I love emo music because I can relate to it, but I am not going to follow the trend.

If you know me, you'd probably call me " emo " and thats fine, I don't mind, but I don't cry at everything, and I don't fall into that stereotype. Like music for music's sake, don't follow the trend.

Also, just because you're emo, doesn't mean you only listen to emo music.
I like art-pop, indie, piano rock, alt-rock, etc...

so ya, im just tired of all the habbos im seeing conforming to the emo stereotype because its whats hip.

Sooner or later they will be gone, following whatever trend comes next. I'm not scene and will never be a scenester. I know what I like, and i'll dance to it.

Anyways, do you like emo? if so, why?

Don't lie, if you are doing it because its trendy, say that .. no point in lying, honesty is the best policy.
