This girl added me on MySpace because we were both from Brighton. We found out that we go to the same school but at our school we have 2 sites. Upper school and Lower. Lower school is for the year 7, 8 and 9's and Upper is for the 10's, 11's and 6th formers(collage).

We've been talking loads on Msn and MySpace and everything and we're pretty much into all the same things, music wise, hobby wise and everything.

We've arranged to meet up on Saturday and just hang out, see a movie then get something to eat. We've never seen eachother face to face. Well, we have 2 years ago but we never knew each other existed xD.

Only thing is, I've been told I act different on Msn and MySpace than real life as I find it so much easier to talk to people over the net.

We've only really been talking to each other for like 2-3 days but we're getting on so well.

Do you think i'm doing the right thing? Taking someone out that i've met on the Internet and only known for about a week or less?

We're also only going to as friends, nothing else :).

I think as long as you do know who she is and your positive it's this girl who you have bumped into before and she is definitely at your school - then why not.

Let's face it - everyone acts a wee bit different on the internet - and I doubt she's any exception.

I say you should just go and be yourself. If it turns out a disaster then at least you'll know you guys weren't as compatible as it first seemed. At least that way you'll know, and you might end up getting on even better and being great friends.

I think as long as your certain that it's her and everything will be safe - and your meeting in a crowded area etc. - then why not? Imeen you have nothing to lose, and like I say - she might be a bit more shy herself!

Something like this happened to me and it went alright... this girl was like my best friend's really close friend and they hadn't even met up before, then they just stopped like each other, so I decided to start talking to her and eventually we met up and started going out with each other, only lasted a month though.

She's in year 9. I'm in 11. Only a 2 year gap.

I rang her just now for the first time, seeing as we're ment to be meeting tomorrow and we just got past the "hello" stage of the phone call and then the phone connection was lost and she isn't answering my calls.

I think I just messed the whole thing up..
