Kristall-Panel Version 1.

So here we go again (lol).

With the release of RC2, I'm quite happy to announce, that with the amount of installations of the panel on peoples server, that I'm going to immediately start work on the final "Version 1" of Kristall-Panel, this means it will be coming out of beta and will offer full support and whatnot.

What I would like from you is ideas on what you'd like to see in the "first" non-beta release of Kristall-Panel.

Suggest anything, no matter how stupid it may sound. All features from RC2 will be carried over.

That is a live demo of Kristall-Panel and will be worked on, any suggestions / improvements to that page would be welcomed (apart from "zomgs let em change from da flash) the flash -> gif logo changer will be in there.

As I've watched you realise the beta version it is a pleasure to hear the final full version will be complete soon. It seems very good visually and the features are good too, I can see you have put a tremendous amount of work into the project and I hope you get the best out of it. :D

I reckon you have have a Perm Show system on the panel, one how you can book perm shows, and name them and they show up on the timetable, and when you clear it it stays there!

And you could make something where when you make a DJ it shows up on a staff list that we could use to show to the public.

oh heres a feature no other panel has, 24 hours before a show e-mail the DJ on air then reminding the DJ and PM them 1 hour before the show, both times should be able to be changed by admins and turned off, the feature can be turnned off just for the DJ who turns it off by the serinor and head DJs no one lower (EG normal DJs and new djs)

Not really spamming people is it? its not junk it has a perpose for your DJs that way people dont miss a slot.

If you're getting an email sent every hour with basically the same thing in it, the server's gonna think it's spam.

Why would the e-mail be sent every hour?

Lots of different dj's, 24 different dj's in one day = 24 emailz.

Why dont you make it so the DJ can choose if they can have notification N hours before the time they have requested and then if they can not make it it alerts managers etc. automatically puts a bot on playing and if the manager or another dj can fill the slot they change it to their time.

Again with the spam thing, alot of dj's would have it on to keep themselves reminded.

Ya.... I know I ran into the same kind of spam problem with my Mailing List on my site. Anything over like 100 emails at a time was blocked and it wouldn't send - and as Dan said some servers would see 24 emails sent out on the hour every hour as spamming

Also - is there a demo user/pass?

There would be one e-mail sent out on the hour not 24.

Could't you just add an ID tag at the end of the e-mail whats random?

Kristall-Panel is THE greatest DJ Panel I have ever used :)

Actually... what I meant was one email, every hour, for 24 hours straight always with almost the same content (sounds like spamming to me) - even if you only change 1 line like Dan said... smart filters are smart.
