:D Graeme Hick scored one of the finest of his 127 first-class centuries as his Worcestershire side took a 110-run first innings lead against Lancashire.
Hick hit 176 in a stunning 231-ball effort and was last man out as Worcestershire totalled 306.
The innings came after he had been dropped on Wednesday night on 15.
Muttiah Muralitharan took 5-69 for Lancashire before his team closed on 47-1 at stumps on day two of this Division Two contest at Worcester.
Hick's century allowed him to move above WG Grace into 10th place in the all time list of century-makers.
But the 38-year-old said: "Records are not something I'm really concerned about.
"All I'm concerned about is doing my job properly for Worcestershire and that usually means scoring runs when the team needs them.
"But scoring centuries still gives me great pleasure, maybe even more so at this stage of my career because I don't know how many more I've got in me."
