I vote subforums.

Also, if I had a Windows problem, where would I put it? In the Windows forum or the computer problems forum?

That off course would be your choice :).

We will see how it goes as forums first and if necessary, we can always move them :).

We do it some cases (ie so many vip sub forums) however that shouldn't stop us from expanding popular topics. Also, we have removed quite a load of VIP subforums. Adding 3 new forums which a lot of people are interested in is not that bad ;).
