Diamond or Pearl?

Well my bday is coming up and my mum has promised me a ds and a game and i want a pokemon game cuz i love pokemon games, should I get diamond or pearl??
Which is better and why??

get pearl, most people are buying diamond so theyll want the pearl exclusives so you can trade for better pokemon, also i believe palkia is a better type becuase of the water steel combo

Na, palkia is horrible, Dialga is much better Roar of Time = epic move xD

Not much this time, online though, battle tower is fun, gets hard, much harder than the champion I guess, only pokemon difference really is the one you catch during the main story, if your playing diamond is Dialga if pearl then Palkia

Ya i heard in #pokemon-chat that diamond is better but is it the same as ruby and sapphire where there are a handful of pokemon you can only catch in 1 or the other?

theres a few only available in each version, but you can easily get the others over wifi :P

You can see almost all of them just playing the game all the way through, only exception is Palkia and Dialga

i asked some friends and they said dialga is way better, but out of the 7 of them only 2 have pearl.

So i might get pearl just on the fact no one has it, anthen maybe buy diamond as well so i can get both :s

I'm not sure, also Neil you never voted so is it diamond or pearl you prefer??

I dont use 'ubers' as I find them rather useless because you dont put any effort into raising them as they're already at level 50-80.

Palkia look's cooler and has better STATS in battle.
He can also learn 3 more TM's than Diagla and he learns the Road Of Space.

Palkia is more powerful if used to his advantage.
Palkia can be a special physical sweeper in your team.
I doubt you know what that means but just up his Sp Atk with Ev training and Calcium and you have an awesome sp atk.
Learn Calm mind which boosts his Sp Atk & Sp Def and use him as a Special Physical Sweeper OHKO Style.

How can they kick your butt when you've already got a major Sp Atk and 1 hit KO move.

It only takes one move for a OHKO all those Calciums and ev training are to boost the move and it's stat.

If I've fully EV trained my Palkia with Sp Atk and Def then I go into a battle use Roar of Space and viola.

You're still forgetting the simple facts, not EVERYONE sits putting calciums and stuff on there pokemon, and even if they did then there will obviously be VERY deffensive pokemon which means special rend wouldn't be quite as good as you say it is against them because of the defense bonus, special rend is a horrible move tbh, roar of time is still stronger, I do better with Dialga than I do Palkia and when I was using Palkia it was level 60 and my Dialga is only 55

Palkia has a low Sp Def if that is not improved upon he can be week to special attacks in D/P. His Sp Atk is already an uber stat. We'll see when I battle you if you have WiFi
