so, as some of you may know (rofl), yesterday i was playing rounders in pe, i jumped up high and i came down over my knee. and it was so agonising, i got carried into school and sent home.
so i can't walk on my leg or anything, and i've been to the doctor and he said that i've probably ripped a ligament, and that i should just rest it.

but, it keeps feeling like it's locking, and i don't want to get a really stiff knee, but it also hurts to walk around.

any ideas as to what i can do? cause i have a dancing exam on thursday (amazing timing) and i really don't want to fail..

i did something similiar and i was on crutches for a week. the knee doctor said it can take 2 -6 weeks to heal.. you may have a surface fracture like me. instead of a torn ligament. maybe try to get an appointment with a knee doctor.

when i had ligament damage in my foot i was told exercises to make it stronger again, however this was after a few weeks of resting. i'd get some ice on it like i said & then for some reason docs told me to rest my leg above my head e.g. put some cushions under your leg. i dunno why though :s

oh and also i cured it in the end by using a gel called voteral for inflammtion/pain which was magic :D

Hazel's solved your problem, although when I tore a ligiment in my leg I did not use that gel stuff. :P

Just rest for a week or so then try walking on it, no running or jumping ;) just walking and it should be better in no time. :P

Your health is more important. Cancel/postpone the exam

Just rest, the tissue will heal itself :) I'm not sure, but I think you can get some cream to make it heal faster...
