View Full Version : Severs Disease
My doctor said I got servers disease. I didnt tell me what it was.
I have pain in my heel. And soon as I sprint It comes back.
I got 2 week ago. I have jelly pads.
ANY ADVICE PLEASE
- Also thnk god its end of season wednesday for me!
I will be leaving footy tornys out this year.
You say your Doctor didn't tell you what it was? Well basically Sever's disease is a relatively common ailment where individuals usually in their early teens and sometimes a bit younger have a constant pain in their heel because of the inflammation of plates in your heel. It generally comes from overuse of the hell in sports, such as football.
So the first step would be to stop the football, as you say you will and then it's a good idea to do daily stretching exercises in the lower leg area until the inflammation and therefore pain dies down.

From what you said and what garion said I personally think it could be servers disease. yet I think it could be plantar facsia-itus which is when the tendon t under the foot becomes inflamed causing the end of the tendont I.e the heel or toe area to feel discomfort after running lots of walking or sports. The treatments are as followed: Ice, Stretching and ibprofen in more serious cases they will inject into the heel and in survere cases they will operate, Ive been suffering from this since I was like 7, its most common in adults yet becoming more common in children/teenagers.
Ok thanks. Dont worry Ive missed the last few matches.
We have a match tommorow. Dunno why its wednesday :p But I aint playing. I didnt register for any torneys and wont.
I just wanted to know a time for it to go? My mate in my footy team had it. It wentaway came back went away came back.
Pls tell me it doesnt do this :'(

Sorry for bumping the (slightly) old post, but I get this. The chiropodist gave me insoles for my shoes. I always get pain in my achiles (back of heel), and I also have an 'extra' bone in my foot. Its not really extra its just I have 'flat' feet so the bone protrudes more. Theyll probably recommend that you have insoles in your shoes or w.e, but dont worry about the sport because apart from the slight pain in your heel it won't affect you at all.
Well The heel pain does effect me. Because I cant walk.
Once I sprint It comes back and hurts. Then 5 days later it goes.
Sprint and its back. Its anoying.
I do got sole pad rubbery things

I have a simular thing only its in my knees.
Take an advil or asprin every day.
They help reduce inflamation of joins and muscles and of just about everything. If its really bad take two. This should help keep the pain down to a minimum.
The manager of my footy team's son has it. And hes had it for 2 seasons.
And being Managers son, he'd surely would Of made his go.
So thats why I worry.
