The current British anthem ios God Save the Queen. The Irish one, is Amhran bh fiAnna or something like that, translates into A Soldiers Song. We should change British anthem to the Austin Powers Theme Tune, I realized that when I saw the 1st Austin Powers Introduction!! The British Anthem lyrics are-

God Save Our Queen is the royal anthem of every country in the commonwealth like Canada and Australia so it'd be hard to sing about like 7 different countries. I don't think national anthems are ever about the nation, like America's is about war.

Most English people originate from Germany or Scandinavia. I personally think the Queen, despite not actually doing a lot, is an important figurehead and helps keep Britain independant and not just another Presidency.
