I have had a pet fish, been living for around 3 years, and I got home from school today and it has died! It was a black oranda, big one, and its just laying there dead in this plant :(

Its sad because it was on my desk for 3 years in that tank, and I use to see it everyday and feed him everyday.

Do you think I should have, like, a funeral and bury him in the garden? Im not going to put him down the toilet, I think thats bad. Should I put him in a box and bury it? If so, would my dog like find it and dig it up :o

Please help me decide what I can do

Sincerely yours,
Typo

Do whatever you think would be easier and better for your fish? If you think that if you bury it the dog will find it, don't bury it or make sure you do it deep enough or something so they can't get it.

It's your fish, so you should decide.

I know its up to me, I think im going to bury it but do you think it would be good to, or is it too OTT?

You should bury it, three years is a long time for a fish mine lived for about a month...

If you aren't going to flush it then really your only alternative is to bury it, so yeah...

Sorry to hear of your loss, i'd personally flush it but seeing as you don't want to then bury it in the garden.

Could burn it? They do the same thing to people.
