EWWWWWWW im already scared =[

Global warming is bringing a new threat to our back gardens - poisonous spiders.
The False Widow spider first arrived in banana shipments from the Canary Islands in around 1870 and is now growing in numbers thanks to increased temperatures.
The good news is the spider's bite will not kill, although it can cause swelling and severe pain.
Michael and Pam Willis recently found one in the garden of their home in Verwood, Dorset.
Mrs Willis, 62, said: "It was black and shiny, not like a normal, hairy spider. It's terrifying if numbers are rising. I'm worried about our grandchildren."
Stuart Hine, of London's Natural History Museum, said: "There has been a dramatic increase over the last seven to ten years; no doubt due to global warming. They survive winters to mate."
He added: "There are probably tens of thousands. In a few years they will be in every garden in the south of England and more will be spotted higher up the country." some photos http://nlbelardes.com/images/blackwidow1.jpg

they're not as bad as itv are making them out to be, if anybody cared to look on BBC news webcast, you'd know that they're not VERY dangerous. their bite is no worse than a wasp or a bee sting. they're probably like wasps, they won't bite unless intimidated/disturbed.

Yeah they mean kent :(

I don't like spiders, when you play football in your back garden and the ball goes into the bushes it makes it hard to get the ball back when theres spiders everywhere and if you go into the bush you get all the spiderwebs in your hair, I hate that feeling lol

oh and by the way, those pictures aren't of the spider spreading. right click > properties. "black widow" although the false widow looks the same, it doesn't have the egg-timer on it's stomach/underneath it.

I doubt you'll find one in a highly populated area.. you'll only find them in the countryside I think.
where i live they're are a LOT of snakes/coyotes/spiders etc..
and i've been here for 5 months and i've only seen 2 coyotes, they'll be very rare to see.

They'll never make it into Britain!

Anyways, I think this is probably just the media making a mountain out of a mole hill. There's probably plently of spiders in our houses and gardens just like that. It seems as though they're blowing it completely out of proportion just for a story.
