[HxCL] Gears of War tourney?

Hey guys, I've just thought up something which some members may find interesting. Would anyone be interested in the possibility of a Gears of War championship? I can't determine a prize for the winner but it'd be sort of fun. Of course, teams/clans will have to be picked so that it's not just one person that keeps on winning (they can be chosen whenever). I think it'd be a fun way to just have a bit of Gears fun really, I know how many of you have the game and enjoy it so why not just have a lil' fun on it now, with the Habbox team?

Anyway, if you're interested then post below but don't post your gamertag; I'm just seeing about who is interested at the moment and I won't do anything to make the teams yet until I make an annoucement on the definitve answer + times of it (probably in the May holidays if anyone is up to it, however if not then it'll be rescheduled to June/July).

Remember this is just a thread to see who is interested, also post the months you'd be able to do (sooner or later is appropriate). :) Now post!

Wow, quite the response but I guess it's not enough for a good tourney.. How does 24 people sound? 6 teams, y'know? :) And to the people who are thinking 'Why Gears?', it's because it's the first thing that sprung to mind however I'd say there is a possibility of Rainbow Six, Halo 2 and dare I say it, even Halo 3 BETA games in the future. :)

Well, say a league:

Play a match,

1st gets [x] points
2nd gets [x] points
3rd gets [x] points
etc

And make a league;

1st [name] [points]
2nd [name] [points]
etc

or

1st gets [kills] [deaths]
2nd gets [kills] [deaths]
etc

and make a league;

1st [name] [kills] [deaths] [kills to death ratio]
2nd [name] [kills] [deaths] [kills to death ratio]
etc

Tell me if I make no sense :D

Yeah I like the way you're doing that actually. Something around this?

Map ending:

1st [Name] [Kills] [Deaths] [Points]
2nd [Name] [Kills] [Deaths] [Points]
etc.

So you sum it up at the end of every map and see who has the highest. We could always do it in clan teams though.. The reason 24 would be a nice number :)

tbh it would be much easier on halo 2, due to the online stats on bungie.net

anyway, I don't have gears and the halo 3 beta is matchmaking only :(

It's a decision really then, who would like Halo 2 more than Gears.. We can do either one now, or later. Eventually we're gonna do both so its everyones choice... Rainbow six would be fun though.
