Glenn Roeder has officially resigned with immediate effects from being the Newcastle United Football Club manager.

Someone's E-mail made me laugh on SSN, they said "Why not let Sunderland and Birmingham get their fair share of the limelight, couldn't he of waited til Tuesday?"

Most others are supporting Roeder, saying that it's Freddie Sheppard who should be leaving, not GR.

so, where's Big Sam?

I was about to say that, Sam will probably go there, or Coleman.

Sam Allardyce.

If it isn't him I'd be very surprised.

Someone said they wanted Claudio Raneri there?

Would be nice to see Coleman get some work, but it's pretty set to be sam, surely?

Ruud Gullit :8. He might be someone else to look for.

Although, he has been linked with the Fulham job.

Big Sam can turn that club around. Newcastle's downfall has been wasting money in the transfer market, and that's Allardyce's main talent, he's got an eye for a bargain.

This is news to me. I don't think Glen Roeder was the right Manager for Newcastle anyway. Like most people, I wouldn't be surprised if Sam Allardyce was the new manager.

But another thing I don't understand is - WHY RESIGN WHEN THERE IS 2-3 GAMES LEFT!!!

WHY RESIGN WHEN THERE IS 2-3 GAMES LEFT!!!
So he doesn't get all the blame for where Newcastle end up finishing ;)

I didnt see that coming tbhh.

according to sky sports now, it's saying "Sources close to Sam Allardyce say he will be the next Newcastle Manager"

Sky Sports also seem to believe it's Big Sam's job.
