Hey guys.
I am distraught. :(
My samsung D900 LCD screen broke the other day, lol. It was a sad moment... :p
Basically, the crystals have burst so I'm needing to get a brand new screen.
I've looked around online and seen some DIY ones for £39.99 but if I even tried I would probably wreck the phone.
Could you guys please offer some sites and stuff and give me quotes for cheap screens and repair charge included.
For all help I'll give you +17 rep! :)
Thanks! :)

You would need to find a mobile repair shop near you. But obviusly we would need to know wher you live to search. So unless you are prepaired to send it off for repair?
But i will look :)

But that one is quite expensive!

Ahh, this happened to my old nokia when I had it.
What I done was I went to all the mobile shops in my area and asked them to quote the price of a repair.
In the end, it may work out cheaper to buy an LCD screen yourself and get someone to fit it.

That one's a bit expensive though..
Your best off asking for quotes in phone shops near you really.

So far £55 is the cheapeast including repair. I'll be willing to pay that, but still looking for cheaper.
I'm gonna have a look around local phone shops here, but am looking for some ones I could send them off to as well as it might work out cheaper.
I'll sort you guys rep soon, thanks. :)

Hmm is it still under warranty? Also has the screen got an actually crack or is it just all the crystals going weird? My mate when his crystal things went weird just went into his local 02 shop and said it was under warranty and was faulty.. They just gave him a new one. If all else fails buy the LCD Screen and take it into your local phine shop and ask for them to place it on it.. Im sure they will do it

take it that you ain't got it insured then? :P
erm.. when i broke mine i just took mine back to carphone warehouse and they sent it away to get fixed, cost me around £40, but they supplied me with another phone while it was away but i had to pay a £25 deposit for that.
so aye, your best bet will be to just go round shops asking about prices/whats best to do etc.

Where did you get it fixed? Was it local? I had a quick look on the net when I was at my girlfriend's tonight. Trying to get it fixed asap as I'm using my old Sony Ericsson w800i atm. It's still a good phone but the joystick is so irritating as it's really stiff! :p lol
Keep posting any links and cheers for the advice! :P

I contacted a phone shop there, and was given a quote of £55 including return delivery...
Do you guys think thats reasonable?
I guess it is as they have all been about the same, and they are charging £49.99 for the screen itself - just like every other shop I've seen is...

It was £200. I got it at Christmas as a gift and I really do like it and planned to keep it until at least the beginning of next year...

Lol my phone is my baby :P
Nah I don't even wanna try to fit it myself, I'd rather pay the extra 10 quid and know it's not gonna get demolished, lol.
It's still under warranty I think and Samsung offer free repairs...
What do I do if I need service?
In the event that you should require service assistance, please contact the Samsung Customer Care Team on 0870 SAMSUNG (O870 726 7864). Please have your full Samsung model number and serial number, date and place of purchase and a brief description of the fault/ query ready when contacting our Service Team.
As I got it as a gift though, I don't have a clue where it was bought or when... do you think it'd be alright if I just explained I got it bought as a gift? :S lol

Nop they don't have the receipt... lol I don't expect them to - 5 months later, haha.
Surely they must be able to understand that some products are bought as gifts....

To be honest, do not go to those official repair shops for Samsung. Use those non-official ones, much cheaper :)

Is it under waranty? You could take it back. I think you'd probably be better getting a new phone. It'd be cheaper tbh. You could try and go to the local phone store such as orange, carphone warehouse ect.
