'positive' racism

okay right, y'know what i'm sick of these days. POSITIVE racism. At school, there was this kinda prize thing, only for non-white europeans. Wth is this achieving? It's almost saying white europeans are 'superior' to black people, chinese, asians for example. It also makes us as seem 'different' to one another and need different academic prizes. It disgusts me, seriously.

at my school some woman out of school tried to organise this meeting/group activity thing for the minorities of the school. she assumed that asians, blacks, chinese etc. were the minority. but when she came to my school to try and sort this out, she was very wrong as asians are the majority. and for the whole english lesson, my teacher and the class were discussing how stupid that idea was.

but yh, these kind of things do make everyone seem different and it doesnt help the fact.

Our school has a thing called "Black boys can!".
Basically a group at lunchtime where only black kids are allowed in to chat, have food, play games, etc. :rolleyes:

One of the Asian teachers did an assembly on racism today giving examples e.t.c. but its a complicated issue cos from the way he was presenting it he seemed racist himself.

Its hard these days to classify what is racist because as soon as anyone says something bad they're called a racist. It's complicated aswell because the black community call each other names (I won't say them on here but it begins with N) but yet if a white person addressed a white person with that name they'd probably get beaten up or called racist..

Exactly - if anyone is being racist it's the blacks, they have their own little gropus and own little names for each other and if we enter then or call them the names they call each other we get into trouble. (I wouoldnt say batterd coz I'm too ard for tht sorta stuff :rolleyes:)

Also I hate to bring it back up but the massive Shilpa row aboit popadom etc, j.jackson called us white trash so why didnt he get into trouble :S

If someone said I was racist for saying something like blackboard or black sheep and they were themselves black, I would say they're belittling themselves and trying to cause a scene, and maybe slap them with a herring.

We have 'positive' racism in our school, but in a different way. Like, for instance.. I could make a fried chicken and watermelon joke about a black person in my class, and they'd just laugh and make a honkey joke. It's all humourous stuff in my school. Apart from asians. They don't find anything funny.

I see plenty of racism, I've seen black people get a pasting from whites and I've seen the total opposite too. Black people use the 'racism' as a reason to fued gang violence here in the UK and set a bad example to the entire society as a whole. Nope I'm not racist... Who commits the majority of the crimes here in the UK such as; rape, murder and GBH. I don't feel that schools should be encouraging exclusion from different ethnic backgrounds and social groups as it's how teenagers delevop and change as a person by who they mix with... I think it's disgusting that some of your schools have black only zones, that will only make black people think they're better than whites and they'll probs form a large black gang and go around killing and hurting innocent people. If everyone just mixed more with different people then maybe racist attacks would be a thing of the past. ;/

Did I say I was cool if I say it? Dont jump down my throat and accuse me of trying to be cool. We live in completely different environments, Im australian, your UK or whatever, didnt read your location. Here it is considered racism, but the black kids at our school just give the same, "hey whity" or whatever. It's a joke, nobody gets offended by it. But it is still considered racism.

Seriously what's up with you? Every post I've read of yours today has been violent and jumped up. Also, the first paragraph that you've written here is a prime example of what this thread is about - you're saying that someone actually cannot utter a simple phrase because they aren't black. As for it "usually" attracting gangs, don't talk such balls, the incident you're talking about is a one-off, the majority of the time if you say "sup nig" you (surprisingly) won't get stabbed.
