Hai.

Well I'm really happy with myself because of this, so I thought I would post it.

I have just coded my first valid xhtml 1.0 strict website which actually works perfectly in all browsers I have tested it in.

The template may not be great, but I'm really happy about coding it, as I'm rubbish at making a valid site!

It can be founds at: www.duosystems.net/frontend/duonew/

Thanks,

-Simon

It's a really nice layout! And even better that you moved to standards-based design ;) +rep (if I can).

:( You might need to look at that then, Simon.

When I tested it I used:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.duosystems.net%2Ffronte nd%2Fduonew%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=XHTML+1.0+Transitional (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.duosystems.net%2Ffronte nd%2Fduonew%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=XHTML+1.0+Transitional)

Ill make it valid 4.01 then [:

EDIT: Just realised I'm using the wrong doctype :P Ill try and change.

Nice work, only thing is to make the slogan lighter as you can barely see it

Not bad! But some suggestions:

-Make your "first [well coded] valid xhtml 1.0 strict layout" actually valid :P
-> 19 Errors (Click Here For Validation Result (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.duosystems.net%2Ffronte nd%2Fduonew%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline))
-Add a hover effect to the navigation links
-Center the layout in IE6 (its over to the left in my browser)
-Make your live support icon either all transparent or all white ;)

But otherwise its great!

Thought I'd let the last two posters know that when I posted the template the live support stuff and the 19 errors didn't exist.

Today Doug (other DS owner) updated the page making it not valid :p
