Hi everyone :)

I bought a flagpole of eBay for 25 pounds. It is 6ft tall, and I will have the Irish Flag on it in my garden. It arrives tommorrow morning, 1st class in post. My step dad does not want me to have it in garden, but says he wont force me not to. I dont know why not.. He isint Irish, he was born in Germany in a British Army Camp. He is like "I hope the people who see it realize it isnt me who put it up there". Its very annoying, so I might put it next to my desk in my room. Anyone know why he is doing it? Do you think it would go good next to my desk or should I fly it with pride?

Your opinions please :)

But we are an Irish Family though. I know some people wouldnt like to see a different flag other than the British/English flag flying in England. Is there laws about flying foreign flags? I think there is, I dont know if they apply to Irish Flags though..

I think if you are proud of your flag - fly it. Why not? There is no law against it. In your room sounds like a great idea too :D

Yeah ok but you realise you're asking people over the internet what to do with your flag?

Hm yeah, take a look at the situation.

That's what I hate about this country, You never see many "Union Jack Flags" out. When i went to flordia I see LOADS and I mean loads! At least there proud of their country. Oh and yes If your proud to be Irish put it out :P
