Air Raid Siren

There is an old air raid siren going off in my town :s

How weird, hopefully the council can turn it off as its getting a bit annoying.

Yeah in my town there's loads of bomber planes flying overhead. I'm not sure what they're here for.

The other day 2 ancient bomber planes flew past my school... i was like eh!

Them sirens are spooky the noise off them.

There is one in my village and they test it every few months cuz they like to keep it working.

Im in a small town called Folkestone, and at the army camps here we have Air Raid Sirens where thet test them each friday at 12noon. Do you mean they are faulty and wont stop going off? Or they test them reguarly?

I love 5 minutes away from an airport but it doesn't mean I pretend to know everything that goes on there.

If an air raid siren has been going off for a long time on a Sunday then either theres some kind of event in your town or they're faulty. (And anything can be faulty ;))

It stopped about 45 minutes after I posted.

I think it was faulty. My MSN started going crazy with people going "OMG CAN YOU HEAR THAT", but im still alive so im guessing nobody was bombing :D

Everytime they go off you hear a dozen people yell 'The Germans are coming'.

Depends if you're near it. It's fixed to the bell tower so not that loud because it's high up

lol, no, at the end i know what you mean. The hooter is one of them air horns that are powerd by canisters.

We get very low Hercules flying over our house, we have Lancaster Bombers fly over, and we get to see many free Red Arrow Air shows, as the airfield is like 1 mile away,

we just get fog horns going off here cause we are right near the beach, its annoying as hell.
